A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM - 31st March 2012

You may of visited the Chelmsford and Essex Regiment Museums or played in Oaklands Park that surrounds it, but have you ever slept in it over night?

We are giving Scouts the opportunity to do just that. Once the museum closes to the public we will arrive at 6pm for an overnight adventure on Saturday 31st March. For all the information, click on the logo to read (or download) the information booklet and booking form.

CAVING - 4th - 7th May 2012

All the information is now our for our next caving adventure. It's back to the Peak District for a long weekend. It will involve, caving, mountain biking, site seeing, swimming and lots of fun and games. Places are limited to just 20 Scouts. COLDWAR WEEKEND 2012 - 16th/17th June

It's 'Back to the Bunker' for a weekend of activities in and around the coldwar secret nuclear bunker. Exact activities and cost is being finalised at the moment. Expect full details out towards the end of 2011 or at the beginning of 2012. In the meantime take a look at the video from the last time we were there in 2010.

ESSEX INTERNATIONAL JAMBOREE 2012- 18th - 25th August

A week of fun and freedom for international Scouts and Guides to meet together in Essex for an active and energetic programme of activities and opportunities.

The Essex International Jamboree is held every four years for the Scouts and Guides of Essex to experience the fun and challenge of living with a number of countries from around the world. The next Jamboree will run between the 18th to 25th August 2012, in a week between the London Olympics and the Paralympics in 2012, and offer a whole week of activities and entertainment in the Essex countryside.

UK CAMP 2013

Can't go to Slovenia or want another great 5 or 6 days away? Then UK CAMP will be the camp for you! A number of campsites are being considered with it expected to be booked before the end of 2011. The location, date and expected cost will then be revealed.

SLOVENIA 2013 - 24th - 31st August

It will be back to the Eastern Europe in 2013 as we go Hosteling in Slovenia. Initial enquires have already been made and traveling independently again (so making it cheaper for everyone), we will be staying on the south shore of Bohinj Lake. There are lots of activities planned such as White Water Rafting, Mountain Biking and Canoeing. There will also be days out to the Countries Capital of Ljubljana and other places of culture. WALES 2014 - August

When we asked for the Scouts to tell us what they wanted to do in the future, lots put down a trip to Wales. So in 2014 our Summer Camp will be to there.

A few campsites\Hostels have been contacted but the exact place, date and cost will be confirmed sometime in late 2012 or early 2013.

BELGIUM 2015 - August

We will be Hosteling again as we visit Belgium. The trip will involve various adventurous activities as well as days out to theme parks and chocolate factories! Information will not be available until 2013.
